How many litters?

Is there a way to find out how many litters a breeder has bred, or how many litters a stud dog sired?
If so how do I go about it, I went to the AKC site but couldn't find anything.

There is but you have to pay for the info if I remember correctly. (It's been over a year since I checked it out.) I think it's part of the online store. I didn't *order* any info or I'd remember the details better.

Nancy is right, you would need to go to the AKC online store and order a report that is listed under the stud dog's name. It will tell you how many litters, how many puppies and if you pursue it, which pups of his are titled and what titled they have earned. But, it does cost, I think it is $25 per report.

Just out of curiosity, is there a reason that you haven't asked / don't trust the breeder to tell you this information?

Don't get me wrong, better safe than sorry, but why not just ask the source? The individual?

It's not for me it's for a friend that is specialing her dog. She just wants to see what other dogs are producing and with how many litters. Like 10 champions in 10 litters or 5. That kind of thing.

When dog or bitch receives a production award from the American Rottweiler Club the number of litters is published in the ARC newsletter when the awards are published, so if you are a member of ARC and the dog in question has applied for and received an award the info will be in the newsletter.
