It is important to title a thread with some indication of the topic contained within it. The reason it's important is so the forum features can function properly and for others to have an idea about the topic by reading the title.

Therefore, generic thread titles will no longer be accepted on these forums. Should a member submit a generic thread title such as, please help, please read, help needed, this is important, yada yada yada........this will no longer be acceptable and are subject to removal.

Martin Niemoeller's (a German Minister in Nazi Germany) message, in its true form, carries a powerful moral impact.

First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out--
because I was not a communist;
Then they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out--
because I was not a socialist;
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out--
because I was not a trade unionist;
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out--
because I was not a Jew;
Then they came for me--
and there was no one left to speak out for me.



If you substitute various breed names and situations the message might read:


First they came for the Dobermans, and I did not speak out--
because I did not own a Doberman;
Then they came for the German Shedherds, and I did not speak out--
because I didn't have a German Shepherd;
Then they came for the Pit Bulls, and I did not speak out--
because I did own a Pit Bull;
Then they came for the Cane Corsos, and I did not speak out--
because I did own a Cane Corso;
Then they came for my Rottweiler--
and there was no one left to speak out for us.

Breed Specific Legislation affects ALL doq owners but ESPECIALLY Rottweilers and the people who own them. We have been denied housing, motel accomodations and Homeowner's Insurance based not on the DEEDS of our animals - but by the BREED.

Please take the time to care about this issue - for Rottweilers and for ALL dog breeds unfairly catagorized as "inherantly vicious" and therefore expendable to society.

Take a stand - write letters - e-mail your legislators and your insurance carriers - and let your voice be heard - speak out against ALL Breed Specific Legislation - before there is no one to speak for us and our Rottweilers.
