Follow-up: Chicago dangerous dog ordinance

All of the breed-specific language targeting rottweilers and pit bulls was removed from Chicago's dangerous dog ordinance before it passed the city council unanimously yesterday:

Wow, I am impressed. . .especially since we Rottie and pit bull owners are just a bunch of "drug dealers and dog fighters." Great job, guys!

This update is loosely related...

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/l...120nov14.story

Part of the non-breed specific ordinance involves cracking down on the owners of unlicensed dogs; the article mentions that there are some fears that people will avoid getting rabies vax for their dogs to avoid being "on record" in any way.

Personally, I can't imagine that but I also have a hard time thinking that people found a $2 or $5 per year license a problem in any way.

Great news indeed.

How do we go about removing the Rott from the black lists of insurance companies and from the vicious-dog ordinances of various cities? And how can this be accomplished? Does any Rott-organization have a strategy on how to go about this? And if yes, is it actively pursuing this goal?
