Is there a canine version of the NRA?

I don't agree with everything they do, but the NRA certainly is effective. Their only agenda is to lobby against gun restrictions. Why don't we have a group like that to stop BSL? (If we do have one, I've never heard of it and would love the contact info.) Any one have any ideas on how to start one? I know the AKC and a few other groups fight BSL but they have a lot of other interests (fighting breeding restrictions, dog shows, etc). My main problem with these groups is they often have ties to the puppymill industry and fight for them just as hard if not harder.

American Dog Owners Association

An association I believe is a must to be a member of...
