BSL Resources and Studies?

As a Rottie owner in Australia, I'm getting concerned about the possibility of existing Breed Specific Legislation being tightened to include our breed. I wish to start contacting lawmakers now, rather than leaving it too late to have any influence.

To justify my views I would like to bring relevant BSL studies and failures to the attention of the lawmakers.

Is anyone able to direct me to:

• reputable studies showing that BSL does not work
• authorities that have introduced BSL, then repealed the laws
• any other material which may help me prevent our breed being banned or restricted

Please supply either a link, or details of the study (e.g. author) or authority. Any assistance would be GREATLY appreciated.

Would you please consider a 'sticky' thread that could act as a collection of resources (i.e. links/documents) to help owners prevent the spread of BSL?
