Re: VP of usrc dogs used again

RIDICULOUS! I happen to think that the shirt is quite sweet! I think I am going to buy each of my boys one actually. Jon Cena is their favorite wrestler ever! Why do you guys take this so seriously? It is a picture. Would it have offended you if it was a pit bull? Would you have given it a second glance? Probably not

Re: VP of usrc dogs used again

Larry I do get what you are saying, but I feel that this genre (WWE) is reaching a very wide amount of people. Lots of small children are more and more involved as well. I dont feel it is really the message to send. I am however aware that it is a double edged sword, we cant go around censoring what we dont like- but we CAN express our displeasure as owners of the breed with these such petitions.

I feel that this kind of portrayal is EXACTLY the wrong thing for our dogs. I find nothing wrong with your tat either- but then again, you are a tad more educated than people that might be grabbing this shirt off my local Kohls shelf (shudder- and seeeeeweee end shudder) Our streets -around here are already rampant with inbred Pitts, so I dont need a T-shirt that has a "why dont you get a Rott- they'll make up for the balls you dont have" suggestion printed on the front of it. Because they might as well erase the pic and print that out in bold letters as far as I am concerned.....

Re: VP of usrc dogs used again

I am also listening to Ozzy backwards while contemplating biting the head off of a bat. ( that was done for the WOW factor just like the shirt depicting the ROtts) Give me a break you guys. Do you really think that a shirt is going to push BSL through in your neighborhood? Get a life. Another thing the APA is not ALWAYS right. You can not ALWAYS be right at something. Video games do not cause kids to kill parents or other kids. It is a lack of discipline. They have no boundaries and feel that everyone owes them something. THEREFORE when they are punished at school for breaking the rules they have the attitude of "how dare you. I will show you" It is the parents fault. Just like it is the fault of bad owners with the breed of Rotts. Faulty leadership in humans can cause them to be defective and unable to survive in the real world.

There's no denying that. And perhaps that's a "God" we had best avoid feeding.

The picture is impressive - portrays quite the symbol of power....which makes it so vulnerable to being taken out of context it's actually weak.

You know what I am trying to say- I am saying I just dont think we need a T-shirt to speed along this process, since you so wisely point out that it is already in motion. So, while I am not for censorship, I am for expressing my opinion to the appropriate "powers that be" so that an "pleasing outcome for all" can be reached.

Re: VP of usrc dogs used again

Ya'll know wrestling is fake right? Who even watches this crap besides white trash beer bellies? Maybe the Rotts are being protective against the other bad guy wrestlers:) I have seen my dogs look this way a few times and it is one of the main reasons I love the breed. They are protective!
All of this criticism of the owners of these dogs is a bit harsh I think. Andy and Darlene have done far more for Rottweilers than most of you will in a lifetime. I just do not think that seeing a "FAKE" Wrestler with "vicious" dogs is going to go very far in most peoples' minds. It's like people watching Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton and thinking that they represent the black people in this country. That all blacks are blasphemous and rascist money grubbers like they are. Only idiots and bigots think that. Just like I'm not going to hold the idiotic things that come out of Harry Read's mouth against Mormons.
The way to combat any misconceptions in people's minds is to socialize your dog as best as possible. Take them into the community and show them the REAL Rottweiler. Signing a petition and trying to get the "descriminatory" material off the shelf is not going to do anything (except get a lot of laughs from the WWE and the Devlins).

Yep, and it's the "idiots and bigots" god I'm suggesting perhaps we shouldn't be feeding - we've got too many of those already!

Re: VP of usrc dogs used again

the thing is everyone is getting there panties in a wad over nothing people see the breed though personal experiances hear say from the news and factual insurance files the shirt doesnt mean a thing in the outcome or the bsl movemant it wont fuel it and it certainly wont push it to a head. the breed is dangerous there is no doubt about that. and the people that dont realize this or can admit to it are the real fuel behind the bsl. no where on A legislatures desk will you find this shirt with some legislature saying see even the wwe thinks there bad to the bone. what does matter is what you and i do because here is what most people see they see owners getting dragged down the road by there rotts growling and barking at people and dogs/they see them banging fences and picture windows as people pass by/ they see people struggling with them at the vets/ and they see there own owners who are afraid of there own dogs and these few examples are all over the place every where i go i see it. and this is what the public and the lawmakers who are pushed by the insurance companies. trust me if you go to a bsl hearing no one will mention this shirt. so instead of training your dogs lets spend hours writing bs petitions aimed at hushing peoples right to free speech.

very nicely put !!!!! in my life ive found that people that bristle up at silly things such as this shirt or movies or commercials are just basicaly denying the truth. the problem lies at our feet not anyone elsesfor those that have been on the forums for 5 years or better think back on the posts the poepke that came and then left becausse they didnt get the answers they wanted to hear and how many have failed there is close to 30,000 members now how many do you think by looking back probably should have another kind of dog.
