New BSL Laws

Our city has just passed laws against Pit Bulls, Rottweilers it may also be passed in our county, I have the opportunity to speak against it any suggestions or help will be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance

OMG what city are you in?

There's lots of info on here. There was also a really cool video a little while back. I'll try to find it.

Our city Corinth MS just passed BSL it will be presented to the county in the next few days I have the opportunity to talk against it I need lots of info to help our case just want to be prepared for questions that may be asked

There are tons of information out there. Here is a list of just a few websites you can visit in order to get the basics to put forth an argument against BSL. The most important step in approaching legislators is to be calm, direct, well spoken, factual, detailed, and give common sense alternatives. When combating those who want to enact BSL, we do not get anywhere when we are hysterical and combative. When you can walk into a room, lay out the FACTS, and then ask them to refute them....they can not. Obviously, with the amount of BSL in our country, we have a hard time with them; however, we have won some battles. The more we can educate, and come up with solid, well thought out alternatives, the more lives we can save

Thank you. Some times it is very hard to keep your cool under these circumstances, but blowing our lids just emboldens their knee-jerk agendas'.
