Keep an eye out for a push for BSL in Charlotte, NC

For at least the past week, there have been stories on the news about pit bull attacks on people and dogs and about the busts of pit bull fighting rings. I haven't heard the mention of BSL yet, but if this continues, I'm afraid it's only a matter of time before the issue comes up. Travelers Rest, SC which is only about 30 minutes from Charlotte already has BSL in place.

Rock Hill also recently tried to or did enact BSL.

Given the nanny state that Charlotte is, I would not be suprised to see BSL hit the books there very soon & if not for Charlotte proper then Mecklenberg county.

1 good thing is that in a recent poll, Charlotteans preferred large breeds to the smaller breeds so I do not think this will happen without a fight.

Rock Hill DID pass a form of BSL but after a few weeks the got rid of the law because of all the complaints!
