Alert: FABULOUS TV piece for Pits in Kansas City Kansas area.

Sharing as requested:

I am sending this out to a bunch of you…….please send this to all you know. My friend JC the vet in the tv piece on Pits and ordianaces etc just sent it to me with this note below. We have been working in Olathe KS to try to get a non bsl ordinance enacted.

Karen

Something else you should know about and pass along to interested parties...KC Fox 4 news ran the first part of a 2-part story on the "pit bull" issue this morning. The reporter, Gene Fox, is trying to do this as fairly and correctly as possible (and I think he's done a good job, even though I haven't seen part 2 yet). He interviewed me, Ledy VanKavage, and Nick Swearngin (a council member in Lee's Summit--on 'our'side) on why breed bans don't work and why pit bulls are not inherently dangerous. You can view the story

here:

Spread the word. Send any positive feedback to the station to encourage them to continue reporting these kinds of stories.

Thanks!

It's about time someone got there head out of their rear end around here. Admittedly we have a problem with overpopulation and lack of owner responsibility when it comes to pitts and other strong willed breeds aound the whole KC area. The culture seems to live in the 1800's when it comes to dogs: They live outside on a chain or loose. I applaude Channel 4 for doing something good for dogs.

Rene, I couldn't find the second video, but did read part 2. I'm assuming it's a text version of what the video will show.
