You can do your part by:

Making sure your dog is an excellent ambassador for the breed. Ongoing training and socialization is a good way to start. At the minimum, attain CGCs with your dogs.

Educating those around you that it's not only Rottweilers and Pit Bulls that are affected by these laws that are proposed and put into place. All dog owners are at risk of losing their rights.

By becoming aware of when and where laws are proposed, and writing well thought out letters explaining to politicians and local officials that enforcing current dog laws that are on the books, and educating the public in regards to responsible pet ownership are effective - BSL is not.

I have to say that was the best film. It brought tears to my eyes. Happy ones. We are new to the rotti world. Our Chewy is 6 mo. She is a wonderful dog. She just completed BO classes and did very well. But I see the fear in people's eyes when they see her. They say, "that is the kind of dog that eats people, right?" We are so glad she is a part of our life. We also have Molly who is an English Mastiff. I love BIG dogs. They make me feel safe.

I hope everyone keeps up the good work to prove that it is not the dog but the owner that makes or breaks a dog.

I just wanted to pay my respects to the wonderful person who is responsible for the making of this video for our breed, as she has suffered a great loss recently. Baxter, her rescued Rottweiler; her "heartdog" has crossed the bridge. Baxter was and will continue to give Linnea her inspiration for continued heartfelt videos in her fight against BSL. Godspeed Baxter!

Yes so true.

Unfortunately here in the UK just yesterday a kennel worker has been so brutally savaged by a rottie that she has had to have one hand/arm amputated and is in danger of losing the other.

The dog was brought into kennels from the police as the owner was banned from keeping dogs for 10 years. Just WHAT had she tried to turn that dog into - goodness knows. It has turned into an investigation, but it seems likely that the owner had tried a bit of DIY protection work. Sigh.

The kennel hand thought the dog was playing when it got hold of her coat and was tugging but obviously it was trying to bring her down.

God we need this video in the public eye here, and god we need some laws on breeding and owning our wonderful breed before we lose them altogether.

Thank you for the video. Malcolm has been with me through the most difficult times and the good times. He is my faithful friend, always there to share love or a sandwich. I plan on moving to Florida so it is interesting. Currently in Ohio and at my condo, people were nervous about Mal, but once they got to know him, majority of people love him. I had an issue in the beginning where I had to confront a man who owns several condos here, but we agreeded to disagree. He has about 15 dogs on a farm, and not one of them are taken care of or as well behaved as Malcolm. He couldn't say much after that. We have to take a stand for them, because they can't speak for themselves. They've already given us so much in return.
