Re: Please vote no

Was itabout the pits that you were referring to? I didn't see anything about a vote except in that article.
that whole article made me furious. I hope that lady doesn't leave food in her tent when she camps, she will get worse then a couple of hungry dogs. How is a hungry dog that has been neglected consider dangerous when the law says dangerous means biting or injuring a person or animal?

Re: Please vote no

It never ceases to amaze me...the owner abandoned the dogs...why would they even consider giving them back...

“There should be bylaws so these animals aren’t running lose,” said one neighbour.
I am all for bylaws so that dogs aren't running loose. Any dog of any breed.

Quote:
Although the municipality takes action against dogs they believe to be aggressive, they don’t investigate cases of neglect, said Smith.
How can they possibly plan to enforce a breed ban if they can't even enforce animal neglect laws?

Quote:
When the municipality decided to classify the animals as dangerous, they based their decision solely on the police report said a staff member.
So these dogs were classified as dangerous without any type of professional being consulted? Who is going to decide what breed a dog is when they try to enforce a breed ban?
