BSL Proposal in Chicago

I was watching the news last night and an alderman plans on putting up a proposal banning Pit Bulls in the city of Chicago. This was a reaction to some of the recent maulings that have occured in the city. I'd be very surprised to see this get through, especially in a city this large.

The one thing that I credit WGN for is interviewing two owners of pit bulls on the air, showing video of their sweet animals playing, licking and interacting with kids. They gave both angles, which is something you don't often see with regards to BSL.

I hope it gets voted down, but remember this......if it goes through, they COULD start adding other breeds too. No dog is safe with BSL

Re: BSL Proposal in Chicago

I am dying to know how that will play out since there was a law passed disabling BSL in Illinois, Blagojevich did this in Aug 2002. You can find it on the general assembly website....

Here is the Alderman's e-mail proposing this nonsense:

The rest of the Aldermans at:

Let's tell them HANDS OFF OUR PETS!

If this passes ...our breed is next on the list.

C'mon let's send a message! :D

Re: BSL Proposal in Chicago

I'm going to send the AKC info to every Chicago resident I know and beg them to send a letter to their alderman.
