I just voted and the count now is:

38% Yes
61% No

Way to go!!! Keep it up.

Instead of the effort to ban the breed they should focus on education and detaining the ones fighting the dogs in the first place.

Topics of this nature really get me fired up.

I know it's not like this poll is going to decide the city by-laws - but it's nice to see the turn around. :)

I also sent them a comment about have a poll for "Should irresponsible pet owners have heavier penalties and stricter by-laws?"

Let's see if they respond. ;)

It's posted on realpitbull-l. Same discussion going on over there, can it/will it make a difference, etc., only less "courteous" than here...

If you read the articles for Sat. the 13 you will see that the city of Brantford was the scene of a pitbull attack and they are considering BSL against pitbulls and possibly rottweilers.

I wanted to put in my no vote and went to the link but could only get as far as seeing the current results. Is there any way for me to put in my no?

Hmmm, it looks like they have started a new poll now.... I'm not sure if they closed the old one. The might have & voting may now be closed.
