| German decree I was reading the Sunday paper and an Associated Press photo caught my eye. Looked like a doggie parade....mixed breeds, most wearing lots of flowers. The caption read: "Dogs adorned with flowers foin a demonstration against a new decree requiring dog owners to muzzle dogs weighing 2 pounds and standing more than 16 inches tall. About 10,000 dog owners took part Saturday in Duesseldorf, Germany." (no, the '2' in 2 pounds is not a typo, at least not mine. That's how the caption read. |

| Hi Sue Even the TV-Station of North-Rhine-Westfalia got it wrong. For Dogs of more than 44 pounds and withers higher than 40 cm (no idea how much in inches) it's leash, NO muzzle. But there were 10'000 people of different background to demonstrate against this legislation. Bye Roswitha ------------------ Roswitha |
