Dogs banned in Germany

"It appears that Germany has banned the following breeds: Pittbull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier and the Staffordshire Terrier. Those in the country can be exported out. All that remain take a state run temperament test. If passed spayed or neutered. If failed euthanasia.

In the next few days we will learn how the new laws will effect the Rottweiler.

The Standard Staffordshire Terrier must be a different dog in Germany the the one we have in Australia ?? In Aus the Staffy is a tiny little dog (very people friendly) most are animal friendly and they are pushed as a very good dog for small children..
The drives in these dogs are very subdued and I just find it AMAZING that they have banned such a breed.. Goes to show how much these "experts" know there dog breeds.. Lets hope the Rottweiler gets the breaks they deserve.

So what this means is if you have a family pet such as any of the ones listed and they fail the state test for some reason, they will be killed?
