SPOKANE, WA - TOTAL BAN

I received the following from a woman involved in the Rott Rescue (from whom I adopted my boy). Thought you may be interested.

The city council of Spokane is considering a TOTAL ban of ROTTWEILERS and apparently want to get this throughout the whole county.

Nothing is even drafted at this time, but it is currently being discussed... Everyone be prepared to monitor meetings, agendas etc and get us the list of council persons, addresses, emails, phone/faxes etc. to me so that we can them have ready to take action
if necessary.

Also please ANYONE that knows of any area in the US that has rescinded any type of (breed-specific legislation) BSL for whatever
reason, please contact me with details as I am making a list. This will be very important to help convince those that think BSL is a good idea. I know that several cities, municipalities have found that BSL does NOT work and therefore have rescinded such ordinances.

Gotta get off of our duffs folks and not become complacent.

Jan Cooper's page is linked in the description of this forum. I will be updating the page later tonight and I will always post a message under the BSL Site Updated topic.

If you would like to be automatically notified via e-mail whenever the site is updated, please subscribe to the BSL-Updates list (instructions on Jan's BSL site).

Please, be proactive, don't wait until it happens in YOUR own town or state. Dog breed banning and restriction are a very real threat!
