BSL... Can we change it?

Below I'm going to attempt to post a link (I hope it works) to an online petition that will be sent to the president himself.. I hope we can get this signed on a large scale and change the face of BSL. BSL is getting WAY out of hand and we've GOT to put an end to it.. I'm very passionate about it and will do anything *I* can to stop or change it. This petition if works will lift BSL at the Federal Level in effect lifting ALL BSL laws. If it goes through many states/cities/counties will have to reweite BSL laws to not single out specific breeds.. this could help us a great deal. Please read it and sign it :) Heh.. What a way to start out here with my first post?

Quick side note since you don't get PM's, there is one mispelled word you may want to fix before mailing in the petition. I'm sure it's just a typo.;)

signed petition

I signed the petition...but I do have to add that we do need stricter laws concerning who gets to breed these ogs. I think the only way to protect the breed is to weed out the BYB'rs and only let the professionals do it. It sure would reduce the #'s being euthanized or chained up in backyards or being used for fighting.

I hope that everyone who reads this petition will take a second to sign it. If we can just get a foot in the door, it's all downhill from there. In Florida, we have insurance companies that will not insure your home if you have a rottweiler. This is discrimination in it's purest form. I know I'm preaching to the choir, but this is an issue that irritates me to no end. :(

I signed too. At some point (in my old age) I am planning to move to Jupiter Shores, FL with my sister - what is this about not insuring households with a rottweiler????

There are many insurance companies that do provide homeowner's to Rottweiler owners at all. Others seem to leave it up to the agents.
