Does anyone know if something is coming up in Colorado, more specifically Boulder County? At the shelter there are 5 GDS's, 2 DP's, 3 APBT's, a chow, and the other shelter had 3 Rottweiler's this week. Just curious if I missed something coming down the pike on BSL.

Why would those dogs being in a shelter mean something coming down with BSL?? Does that mean that people are getting rid of their dogs b/c of some BSL? And please, please tell me that there is not BSL in Colorado (esp Boulder) b/c we are thinking of moving out there with our 2 wonderful rotties. :(

Not yet that I am aware of

I keep an eye on the shelter's web sites to see what is out there. I have just never seen so many dogs from breeds that are usually discriminated against at one time before. For the most part Colorado is usually pretty good, Denver does have some BSL's, and so does Louisville. I was mostly looking to see if I had missed something. ;)

breed specific leg. in Denver/Boulder

I live in Denver, or rather in a suburb, and as far as I know, there is no leg. against Rotties---pit bulls are banned in the City and County of Denver, however--and maybe even other municipalities that I am not aware of. I ive in Englewood, a suburb of Denver and walk my Rottie there with impunity as well as in Denver. Also in Boulder.

I am a member of the Mile High Rottweiler Club and reside in Littleton, CO. I believe that if there were BSL regarding Rotties in Colorado I would be aware of it and I know of no such legislation.
