| Re: Is your rottie a cat? Now Khori will give me a once over after I get back from a clients house after working with their dogs. He did this very day when I was working at PetSmart. Just has to see who I have been with. It's the only time he does it tho. |

| Re: Is your rottie a cat? I know Janus bounces around when he sees me after I've been gone outdoors for a minute, or when it's feeding time. Also he likes to use his paws and slap my legs and arms around when we're playing. And since he's only about 50lbs right now, his curling up on my lap is still enjoyable without the heavy weight yet. But I have noticed him play bowing and then bouncing around when he starts playing with our kittens Tigger and Salem. And occationally gently tagging them on the butt and then running off for them to chase him. It's quite commical :D |

| Re: Is your rottie a cat? I laughed so hard when I read the Tigger poem. We used to sing this to our rottie Pepsi (RIP) all the time! We joked how we chose the wrong name for her...should have called her Tigger. Taser (our 9mnth old Rottie) "kneads" like a cat when sucking on a toy. He also just started rubbing up against everything in the house. Such clowns! |

| Re: Is your rottie a cat? Zahra will actually lick her paws then "wash" her ears and muzzle like a cat. She also does the rubbing thing but I liken that more to a bulldozer than a cat! Karen |

| There are so many ways our rottie mix is a cat. Let me count the ways! 1. She loves to rub against you, especially through your legs. But she has the classic rottie behavior of adoring butt scritches above the tail. 2. She caught a live rat outside when she was younger and instead of killing it swiftly she played with her prey just like a cat does. 3. When playing, she loves to pounce on her toys and bat them around. She refuses to retrieve. 4. And she loves to get us to open the back door and stand in the doorway as if she can't decide if she wants to be in or out. So cat-like! For all her cat-like behaviors, she's cat aggressive... | Re: Is your rottie a cat? Beau most definately is a cat. From curling up in my lap (at 113 lbs) and batting at toys with his paws. If he knew how to "meow", he would... |

| Re: Is your rottie a cat? Max will stand at the door especially when it's raining! He hates getting his feet wet!! But I shoot water at him with the hose and he'll "chase" the water and "bite" it. Go figure!! ![]()

| Re: Is your rottie a cat? Not rotties but my dobie Moriah 100lb would jump on my bed when I was sleeping. I'm a light sleeper, I would wake up with her in my bed. How I didn't feel her get on the bed baffles me. She came home with Jessi 4mon. old kitty. Her top weight was 6lbs. Moriah had to learn how to have light feet from Jessi. Madonna |

| Re: Is your rottie a cat? Yep, same here, everytime after eating, she heads straight to the couch and proceeds to rub her head into it, and she actually loves to sit there while I scratch her head, although she doesn't purr. I've had two cats before, and there are some traits I see in her. ![]()
