| Time to food I am out of home most of the day (nobody else is around), and sometimes when I go with friends to a party, I arrive at midnight, that is why I buyed a food and water dispensers for my Rottie, but are not automatic, she can eat at any time and any quantity that she would like. When I get home and go to the yard where she is, she begans to eat showing her happiness to see me, but I am worried that she could eat too much or that I am creating a bad customs. Can I go back to a timely fooding, I mean, Give her food at the time that I left home and gave her again at the time that I arrive without putting in risk her health? |

| Re: Time to food I bet your dog is lonely If I allowed my dogs to free feed they'd be as big as cows. It's fine to feed them at varying times of day. Mine generally get fed at the same time each morning because that's what works for my work schedule, but they don't get fed on mornings when we're training. They get fed at different times of evening depending on what activities we're doing and my schedule, sometimes that might be as early as 5PM, sometimes as late as midnight.

| Re: Time to food I don’t like free feeding. An adult dog should be fine when fed 2 times a day. However, there is much more to be a good and responsible owner than just feeding the dog properly, namely training, exercises and play (just to name a few things) Hanging out with friends and party is OK…WHEN/AFTER you have taken care of the dog’s needs in all way!

| Re: Time to food I'm with damp... your dog trusts you to provide safety, love, friendship, and a regular mealtime. I read a post somewhere that stated that you have your work and your friends that take up YOUR time, but all your dog has is YOU. Since you took it upon yourself to become a dog owner, please take it upon yourself to provide your dog with those things I mentioned above.

| Re: Time to food Ups, seems that I gave you the idea that I spent most of my after work on parties, take it easy my friends, parties are no so often as I could give you the idea, if I go to a party once a month is too much, because I know that I have my responsabilities with my lovely Rottie. I know that she is alone meanwhile I´m at work, but belive me that when work is over everyday, the first thing that I do is go home to see how my Rottie is, and do not forget my friendly neighbors are aware of my Rottie and they will call me if something could happen. Sorry to be so bad Rottie owner, but belive me that mine´s loves me as I do. |
