Re: Help! My dog thinks he's a goat!

That is a great picture!!! I love it!! I can relate, I have tried everything - I'm so worried that someday he will eat something that he picked up in the dark on a night walk that will make him sick! If you asked my dog what his name is he would probably say "drop it jake"

Re: Help! My dog thinks he's a goat!

Kleenex and tp are a favourite in our house too! We live in the mountains and the dogs are not leashed so little Oskar has found many gross treats on our walks...stinky old salmon, a bird breast connected to a wing, some kind of guts...aaagh the list goes on. His fav treat is any kind of wild animal poo, 'leave it' doesn't work and he takes off to chew it all up before I can catch him. I can't believe he has never been sick from the stuff he eats. He did vomit up a fridge magnet once!

OK, on the "gross" side, yesterday my husband walked Milo, and wasn't paying attention. He turned around and there's Milo with a mouse tail hanging out of his mouth! ICK!!! He sucked it in like spaghetti~~~

Re: Help! My dog thinks he's a goat!

Okay you guys, don't knock eating toilet paper unless you tried it! It chews to such a nice consistency!

I guess I'm lucky, Xander left the TP alone pretty quickly. After a couple rolls, that is. He has a few things he is still obsessed with and I can't imagine how much more difficult it would be if I had kids leaving stuff around! I have enough trouble remembering to put the remotes out of reach by myself!

Re: Help! My dog thinks he's a goat!

I heard that the "glue" used in the roll of toilet tissue has fish oil as an ingredient...maybe that's the attraction???!!?? I can sympathize (sp?)...my 10 month old loves my "used" kleenex tissues...inhales them!! Yuck!

Re: Help! My dog thinks he's a goat!

My older girl just had stomach surgery after she bloated. Well, they found pieces of an old New Balance sneaker sole that she chewed up about 5 months ago as well as sticks and other disgusting hair-matted debris. It is not what they eat when your looking. It's what they sneak down when your back is turned.
Anyway, the whole stomach contents thing reminded me of that scene from "Jaws" when they cut open the Tiger shark to prove he isn't the killer shark and they find a Louisiana license plate instead. I was surprised they didnt pull that out of Ester last night...:)
