hot heads

First of all, it is VERY cold here for us in NM. low last night was 20, right now it is about 35. Because of the cold, Gobie is coming in to sleep. now he is kind of a messy old guy, has a drain in his leg, so he has to go straight back to a blankie in a utility room. Boris goes out back, back doors are french doors which are locked because if he pushes hard enough, he can open them. So I brought Gobie in the house and when Boris saw him inside, he just went ballistic. I was half afraid he was going to break the door. you know the way french door panes are held in by wooden mullions. Gobie is settled in the back room and the door is shut, and a table in front so "no one" forgets he is in there. As I expected, when Boris came in, he went straight to the door of the room, Gobie's big shar pei muzzle snuffling under the door, and growling and whining. Boris started to get agitated, but when I told him to "STOPIT", he did, and trotted away like, "gotta be good, gotta be good". now he is sticking close. I love the way he tries so hard to be good. Hilda, on the other hand, was caught with front paws on the table checking out the plates from supper, nabbed a napkin, and went under the table and growled. she got some extra homework tonight
