Food aggression atmy other dogs

Hi guys,
I am new to this forum and I just have a question about my recent rescue Rottie. She is I am guessing (by her teeth) about 5- 6 yrs old she has been to my vet and he seconds that. She was a pound dog not a shelter dog they didn't even spay her because they were going to euthanize her. But to my question She is food aggresive not to me but to my other dogs. I give her her space at feeding time in another room. But my concern is more with her bones or my other dogs bones that she steals and runs away with and growls when they want the back. I am training her in just OB with my mom who was a show dog/ OB dog trainer. Is their anything we should put into her training for this?? My mom has taught me alot about training dogs but I have never have to deal with food/ bone agression this bad before. Thank you in advance for all your help. Sorry the message was so long.

P.S. I have 3 other dog what is a house without chaos????
I have
Lexus: The Rott
Harley: A Rott Husky mix
Dixie: an ACD (Australian Cattle Dog)
and my wonderful hunnies dog Rebel border collie/ English Setter mix

I learned long ago when you have more then one dog not only feeding times should be private but juicy bones and goodies should be too. If it can't be gone down the throat in a split second I would not chance letting any of them walk around with a bone. Breaking up dog fights is pure hell. Crate them or confine them in different rooms when they are eating these things.

Or at the very least put the offending dog up with hers while the others enjoy theirs.

I agree with Melissa. It is much easier just to separate and confine the dogs, at least the possession/food aggressive one, while they are enjoying their bones or food than it is to break up a dog fight. And when they are confined everyone can relax and enjoy their treats (dogs) and relief from worry (you).

I agree! When the knuckle bones are out, the crate doors are closed over here.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I will start keeping her seprate from the others. The other dogs all share it's funny to watch because thet play chase with each other with their bones. I give them Mammoth bones from the petstore/butcher The big dogs will carry them with the little ACD in tow.

I agree with everyone else. Crating when feeding / high value items are out. She may relax when she gets into the swing of things and realizes no one wants her bone - but she may not (which is completely okay - pack hierarchy doesn't require dogs to share ). Either way - it's a non-issue when they're crated.
