Re: Fearful Behavior

Hi Everyone; I just wanted to give an update on Titan. The new trainer has been here twice, it's been about 3 weeks now with him. We did alot of rearrranging with Titan. First his collar went from a cloth to a training collar. He no longer is allowed to go to the door, I take him in the l.r. and make him sit/stay while I open the door, when the people come in he actually stays there until i say OK. He has been greeting much better, no growling or barking. It's AMAZING!! I hold him from his "shoelace" which he wears almost always, tell him to sit/stay then he can go greet. I am now working with place, his blanket to go to when we have company. I took him for a walk yesterday, one of my first, he was great, we saw 2 guys he started to bark I corrected him and he stopped, we continued. I see such a difference, I am so proud of him and I tell him all the time. I work with him ALOT, sometimes I feel bad because I am always correcting him. But then I remember the way he was and look at what he is becoming. We do play and go in the yard so I am not always teaching. He is a big boy, 8 mos old and over 90 lbs, so I have to have him listen.I also got the book (finally) The Cautious Canine, and started reading and doing. Thank to all of you!!
