sock success!

After weeks of working on the "leave it" command and more than a few meetings with Jesus, Porschea will now drop socks on command! Now, if only this kind of training worked on the hubby.....

Also, for the last 2 weeks, we've been letting her sleep in the bedroom with us at night. We made a little bed for her and tether her to the dresser so she can't jump into bed with us (the first night, we didn't tether and I woke up a 2am with a paw on my chest! cute at 45 lbs, but bad when she gets bigger). Ever since, she has been much calmer and her training has been better. Oh, and she doesn't demand to go out at 4am any more. Another big hooray!

Next step - getting her to obey every time when she's off-leash outside (like at the in-law's property). Of course, now that she drops socks, anything is possible!

Keep up the good work. Now start working on the hubby. ;) Maybe some CTJ meetings with him would work also. :D

:)

It appears as if hubby already drops socks which is why the pup had to learn to do so. I'm sure you are not the one leaving socks lying around are you????

Re: sock success!

Sounds like you are doing well! Good job on getting her to sleep the whole night!
