I'm sorry, but I can't quite figure out what you are trying to say. Are you saying that your pup is 12 months old and that he is going after and attacking your little yorkie? If so, what are you doing when he does this?

Is he left loose with the yorkie all the time?
Have you crated him, is he crate trained?
What type of obedience training or school has he been to?

"He hasn't try'd to go after any of those dog's."

I'm not sure what you mean by this statement, please explain and maybe some of the forum members can start to help you out.

Please provide further, more detailed information and maybe we can help you out with your problem.

Rottie Attitude

My rottie has been biten 3different time's and he has not responded back toward's other dog in a aggressive mannor, He is crated trained and is a really sweet dog, My question is this, Is it normal for rottie's to get bite and just sit there?

I don't let those yorkie's and poodle's around my dog anymore,They just tend to be really aggressive toward's him for some reason

Thank you all

Well, I say hooray for your boy! But you do need to keep him away from the dogs that are aggressive towards him. He is young now, but he will not always want to take this type of attitude from other dogs.

Is he neutered or intact?

He sounds like he has a wonderful temperament and that you are doing the right things with him. Do not place him in a situation where he needs to act aggressive in order to protect himself. That will only cause "learned behaivor" and he may have a tendency to act aggressive towards all dogs if this continues.

Congratulations on such a nice pup with such a good attitude!

Well normal would be you stopping the little brats before they actually get a bite in.....;)

Probably a good idea till you train the little boogers to cool it because I promise you, your Rottweiler is still a pup and when he matures a bit and they bug him to his limits all it will take is one quick snap, crackle, pop and the "little" dogs will be history.....

Your number one responsiblity is to keep your puppy safe. Yes it is possible for your dog to get bit and not react or fight back AT THAT TIME. I will tell you that rottweilers have a memory better then an elephant. Your puppy might decided to take his revenage tomorrow, next week or next month on those other dogs. No one will remember that these dogs attacked yours. They will only see the big bad rottweiler going after these "poor, defenseless" little dogs. I have been there, done that and have the T-shirt.

KEEP YOUR DOG AWAY FROM THE BITERS! Or in the future your pup sould shake that poodle and yorkie like a rug!

Do the other dogs live with you?!?!

My Rottie got bit when she was a pup by a shepard and now she is 'dog aggressive'. I knew that getting into things as I got her from a Rottie rescue and they told me WHY she was dog aggressive.

Dog aggression is very difficult to reverse. The best thing you can do for your little guy is to protect him from the dogs who bit him.

Don't take any chances. Expose him to other dogs who want to 'play' with him -- not who want to taunt him.
