licking back there

Ok someone asked the question earlier about dogs licking back there.......and the bacteria. I read it, and learned it is nothing more then grooming, or could be anal glands.

But here is my question........my dogs do it to each other. Why? Constantly espcially the females to the male. Why do they do that?

Dogs are social animals. Grooming is a social behaviour. Almost all social animals groom each other, it forms and strengthens bonds.

If they are doing it more then usual and a little obsessive About it I would have them checked out by a vet. Although grooming is natural..., obsessiveness is not. It could be full anal glands also if the females are licking your males weewee it could be an UTI. UTI's smell very sweet to a dog........;)

If they are not being obsessive about it I would then in return tell them to KNOCK IT OFF YOUR MAKING ME SICK.........:D :D :D

Ok, well it isn't obsessive, so for now I guess I will just look away. But I will make sure to watch it, and if it does become obsessive I will take them to the vet. Thanks everyone!!
