Rotti curiosity

Hi, Just thought I would post this as sooo cute :)

I needed to burn up a small amount of straw the other day after cleaning out a rabbit hutch, so emptied wheelbarrow onto dirt and proceeded to try and light it.

Our Rocky was following me as normal and sitting quietly by whilst I tipped the straw.

As soon as I struck first match, she edged forwrad to see what I was doing, I guess she heard the noise of the match.

Well, it being a bit windy it took a while for me to light it, anyway she sat there the whole time fascinated :D

As soon as it got going she edged a bit closer (say about 10ft away) and stood there looking at the fire, before anyone jumps on me I was right beside her in case she tried to get too close!!

It then started to smoke a bit the straw not being too dry and it was so funny, the smoke billowed towards us and she backed up, right up to my leg, then did alitle shimmy to avoid me and sat there with a puzzled/starled look on her face!

She made me laugh so much, her curiosity was still arosed as she tried to creep up the smoke, but of course failed.

I had to call her away as I was finished there and she looked so disappointed:D

The two GSD didn't even try to come to close, they were too scared!

Just wondered if you had any similar stories about Rottie curiosity??

hahaha -

I do recall one of my dogs being out in the yard with me in the fall a few years ago. He was mindlessly investigating the fallen leaves about 15' away. Me, I was pokin' around looking for the nozzle to the hose that was also buried under a blanket of leaves, talking to myself.

<scratchin around> "Ahhh....there it is!" I picked it up and gave it a WHIZ towards me, just in time to see the dog do a 4' verticle - eyes like saucers.

Obviously the hose was right under his feet.

:D Whoops!
