Is she normal?

Here’s something I find very interesting about Madison’s behavior toward small breed dogs. She places herself in a down stay and lets the little guys play around her. They jump, sniff, pull ears, all kinds of play stuff and she never gets up. One of the younger pups from across the street even tried to suckle. We are surrounded by small pooches in my neighborhood, so this happens quite often.
Madison just turned 6 months old and has displayed this behavior toward little dogs since we started obedience class. I never trained her to do this; she’s picked it up all on her own. She greets bigger dogs by standing never lying down.
No other rotty I’ve owned or had the pleasure of knowing has acted this way. They’ve just been disinterested in little dogs.
Have any of you seen this behavior from your rottys with smaller breeds? Is she normal?

Small non-adult dogs are faced with the prospect of Mattie dragging them around by the head. She once used this method to put three fifteen pound labs in her dog house.

My Reba (who is 5) loves small dogs! She tries to play "mommy" to them. She gets all excited when she sees them, starts whinning and the wiggle butt starts it's dance!! She does this with children also. Once they are by her and she can lick them or get petted by the kids, she is one happy camper! :D

My Sensi's (who is 3) best friend is a "rat dog"!! A Pom/Mix and the little guy always gets the best of Sensi. Takes his toys right out of his mouth and hides them. Sensi could careless. They have the best time chasing one another and when it's all done and over, they would lay down and sleep together. I guess I would call this a great PLAY drive! :D

Sofi loves little dogs!

My girl Sofi (4 yr old rescue) adores toy dogs- I also have a bratty little minpin, and the two of them "head wrestle". Sofi stands beside a chair and the minpin stands on the chair- the little guy uses his whole body to play, and Sofi just pushes him with her nose. It's pretty funny. She also tries to mommy kittens, baby bunnies, lambs, you name it.....

Roxy's best friend in the neighborhood is a 3 month boston terrier. she gets so excited when we go past her house, when she sees her she starts wiggling, she just sits there and the pup jumps up on her and kisses, then rolls on her back and roxy kisses her. it's hilarious. the other day we were walking and roxy had a "air dog", long tennis ball thing, and dropped it in front of the pups house and kept walking as if to leave it for her, too bad the ball is as big as the puppy!
