| Stopping dead in her tracks During our walks recently, whenever we encounter another dog coming our way Nina will stop dead in her tracks. She is not growling, barking, hair raised or the like. Just a dead stop in an alert position with her tail raised and she does not budge until they pass. If I try to pull or coax her she will sit. What is she doing and what is the best way to handle this? She is just over a year old and just started doing this about 2 weeks ago. |

| She's just becoming very alert to other dogs, but managing her concern in a good way by controlling herself. Help defuse her concern by giving a happy voiced "hello" to those you meet and cut her some slack while she studies them for a few seconds, then pop your lead and walk on. |
