| The way I taught my dogs was to have them sit, and then I would look them in the eye and say the word "Speak" -
and then when they looked at me like I was crazy, I
did a big "WOOF!" I did this a few times (can't remember how many) before they caught on, but it didn't take long.
They (three) just got it right away, not sure if mine are the exception or the rule.
