What saddens me and what gets our dogs in the headlines is that people don't realize that a DOG IS A DOG IS A DOG. Therefore, no matter how well trained and socialized your dog may be, you should NEVER leave a small child unsupervised with your dog. Anything can happen in a split second.
You have false security about your dog. My dog adores children, but it will be a cold day in hell before I trust him 100% with any child.
