Hello, My kaiya is 11 weeks old, and I have an 8 year old ason and a 6 year old daughter. I have to continuely tell my son to calm down. He gets the puppy really hyper. I remind him that her father was 153 pounds, and that we wouldn't want her playing that way when she is older. My daughter is still getting used to her. At first she would run from the puppy, and of course, the puppy thought , great !!:D lets play chase, and my daughter would run and scream with puppy jumping up at her.
I have now taught my daughter that she needs to stand her ground and tell the puppy "NO, DOWN" firmly.
My biggest fear is that my puppy will try and be dominate over my daughter, so we have tried to help my quiet daughter be more assertive.
But again, there is just as much training of the children as there is with the puppy.
