The reason I suggested reading the thread was - This person is hitting their puppy to exert their "Alpha" position and I suggested reading this thread as way to establish their "leadership" role without hitting the puppy. I guess, for these other folks, hitting a puppy is OK but establishing a leadership role in a way that dogs understand is coercive and abusive
