Here we see a lot of BYB small dog mixes because people will buy small dogs - even the shelter rarely see small dogs stay very long. Unfortunately the other issue is that I've seen these dogs go for 40$ more than the shelter adoption fee and the impulsive dog buyer will think it's not so much to pay to get a dog NOW rather than wait for one to come in at the shelter.
