Thats interesting stale. We both live in Hamilton and my neighbours are in the same situation. I'm not entirely sure where they are from, but I know they are immigrants and speak only broken french. They are the same neighbours who have repeatedly given me hassles about my dogs. Started when they moved here (about 2.5 years ago), I still had my APBT, Tank. They would constantly allow their children to stick their hands through the fence into my yard. Their kids are around 3 and 7 yrs old. I asked nicely at first, "Please don't allow your kids to pester my dogs." This led to them allowing the kids to start throwing things over the fence, AT the dogs. Shoes, toys, garbage, hairbrushes, you name it. Tank barked at them a few times, which led to Animal Control showing up at my door. Thankfully, I take pictures everytime they throw something into my yard. I showed the AC officer the pics. I told them my dogs are never outside unsupervised......EVER. Animal Control left without incident, agreeing with me that my dogs have done nothing wrong.
It has decreased since I have had Brinks, but now that he is getting bigger, I'm getting concerned it may begin again.
I swear they are teaching their kids to be terrified of dogs as well. When I walk Brinks, all the neighbourhood kids will come over to see him. They all know to wait until he is sitting, then they can pet him. These kids that live next door will run like hell when they see ANY dog. Brinks is always leashed and walks very well on a leash, but they run like hell regardless. Makes no sense to me at all. I hear they're moving in a couple months.......lets hope its true.
