a male rottweiler by breed standard should meassure between 24-27 inches in height awith mid range being preferred.
there can be individuals shorter or taller than standard, and proportion is more important than height alone.
the lenght to tall ratio should be a little longer than taller.
you meassure a dog from floor to the top of the withers(between/ around shoulder blades/neck meets.

a dog usually grows in height till about 10-12 months and then maybe gather another 1/8-1/2 inch as they mature as they fill out(usually as they hit 2 to 3 yrs depending on the line). if neutered early they tend to be leggier and thinner looking than those kept intact or neutered after 2 yrs of age.
