| Re: Non-Prescription Wormer Any ones that work? Farnam d-worm is at all petsmart and pets plus stores. It is a single ingredient (same as nemex) pyrantel 113mg per tab. My dog is 125 pounds and would require 2 1/2 tabs. You can buy them for $13.00 for two tabs in a package. I asked the tech at banfield clinic in petsmart, what do you use for roundworms? she said we use the same thing you are looking at pyrantel, but in liquid form. She looked it up and agreed 2 1/2 tabs for a 125 pound dog. I guess my only concern is that OTC stuff, human or animal, gets bad reputation for not working, not having the ingredients that are on the label, you know? It's a huge savings over retail vet prices, but I want the product to work, you know? Also, Rocky is showing signs of biting the air or some call them focal seizures, not sure yet, maybe OCD so I have to be careful. And that is why I was so interested in a plain simple deworner with pyrantel, supposed to be safe.
