Lola is always hot and lies on the marble floors all spring and summer. If she goes for a walk too early in the day, she will pant for hours. We got her a giant pool and steps to get in. She will get in and bark for some one to get in with her. She jumps out when finished. The pool is 15ft by 3ft deep. She would sleep in there if she didn't sink to the bottom.
There is a lobster farm not far from my house . Many years ago the owners had a St Bernard. The dog would not come out of the freezer. He napped there all summer on a giant block of ice. When he did come out to eat or potty, his fur was covered in ice. His drool was frozen on either side of his mouth. People would line up just to see him come out of the freezer. The owners said he would bark from the second they opened till some one let him in the freezer. He was one HOT doggie. |
