Gary was around 65lbs at 6 months, and I too was worried that it was a little too heavy. Now at nearly 9 months he is only 81lbs, and the growing definitely has slowed down. Ever since 8 months he has been lingering at 80lbs, so now I am not worried. Remember that every dog is a little bit different, Max is probably just going through one of his final growth spurts during the major growing part of his puppyhood. After this things will slow down.
I didn't deal with pano or anything, but he did have a limp in his front arm for a while. It probably was just growing pains. Gary does have HD pretty bad now, but I don't think that has anything to do with growing patterns. |
