$60,000.00 for the sire and $40,000.00 for the dam???? Surely this is a gross, gross, gross exaggeration. The only animals that are worth that kind of money are ones that can earn it back in hard cash - such as a winning racehorse (who wins cold hard CASH, not just ribbons) and can produce the same.

Well, you do the math...Stud fee charge of $2500 and over the last two years studed 57 times. That is a collection rate of over $140,000. Its always a coin toss, but sounds like the owner of the sire did pretty well on this one.
