There can be structural abnormalities that cause leaking urine, such as an ectopic ureter. If this happens to be the case for your puppy, it is usually accompanied by a UTI that will clear up and recur and needs surgical intervention to correct. My puppy had a UTI that was tough to clear up when she was very young and this was considered as a possibility, but turned out not to be the case after all. Vets will generally treat the UTI first, and then take the diagnostics further if it's deemed necessary.

Surely this is a gross, gross, gross exaggeration. The only animals that are worth that kind of money are ones that can earn it back in hard cash - such as a winning racehorse (who wins cold hard CASH, not just ribbons) and can produce the same.
