Re: HELP - My best friend has osteosarcoma

Hey Laurie,
I'm back from Florida, rather unwillingly, but back none the less. I could've used at least another week of swimming, eating, & sunshine!! But anyway,

Glad to hear Lucas is still hanging in there, even if he is having that problem with his skin. (?) I can't even imagine what it must feel like to hit one of those nasty bone tumors on something hard enough to break the skin.... That's gotta' hurt!!

Good to hear that he's still eating well & being spoiled rotten!! LOL.....
Regards,
MK

P.S. My Vet also suggested the use of Tylenol w/ Codiene for once the Tramadol became less effective, but it never came to that. The lack of a 'long term' seems to be a helpful factor when prescribing effective pain relief for our beloved friends. Any long term effects are pretty much irrelevant at that point, so you might as well give them the 'good stuff' which they really need. If they're not going to be around for the long term, then what's the harm?? Kind of like the cheeseburgers & ice cream.........and porterhouse steaks!!
