My vet will spay a dog in heat, and pregnant. It does cost more and it is a more difficult surgery but I haven't heard of any problems that a normal spay doesn't have. If your vet is good and comfortable, as he should be since he agreed to spay her, then you should have no problems. Our other local vet refuses heat spays. |
