If I may say, the insurance company isn't protecting itself out of disrespect for anyone other than their shareholders. It is the vicarious liability laws in Florida that make the insurance companies so conservative. If they don't make those stipulations, and something should happen, then they are going to have to answer the question, "If you knew Rottweilers were consistently on the list of top ten dogs most likely to attack someone, then why did you allow them?" Unfortunately for the insurance companies, there is no answer to that question that wouldn't produce a seven figure punitive damages settlement from a jury.

I also think the resort could be somewhat more considerate in how they word their restrictions. The are not qualified to make distinctive states about breed behaviour. A little common courtesy goes a long way.
