| Nervous-Spay while in Heat
I made an appointment for Jaycee to get spayed today. She started coming into heat a couple days ago. I'm a little nervous. Normally I would have waited, however, we have an intact male blue heeler and do not have the means (what I feel is necessary) to keep them seperated, and the last thing I want to happen is to have a litter of rotten heelers. I talked to the vet before I made the decision and I know the risks are a bit higher, but I felt like I had to take the lesser of two evils. Her last heat, BF and I did not live together and I had a fenced yard, so keeping them seperated was no problem. So, now I'm waiting on a call from the vet to let me know she's ok...Anyone else had their bitch spayed while in heat? Please no bad stories until I get the call... |
