Poohbearsmom - thanks for the reply I'm still not sold on the vet responsibility, but I appreciate your point of view.
Actually I am thinking about how I manage my own animals. I have a fenced backyard and there are two small dogs to the right and one small dog to the left. Because Bella IS dog aggressive she is never outside alone. She's also a jumper AND digger so her getting into either neighbor's yard is a possibility. What I hadn't considered is Kane. He is not an escape artist, isn't dog aggressive to my knowledge - however, I don't know how he would respond to one dog in his yard. (there was an incident last year where a little pack of dogs had him cornered in our old yard) It is definitely something to think about because I have no problem leaving him out there alone. I don't even think about it, just visually check on him here and there. It's something to consider. |
