Yep. We barely saw my husband for five years. The longest he was away was one year straight. The dogs were ecstatic to see him.
I do, however, wonder about their sense of time. The reaction really wasn't that much different than when he came home from work. That's one of the reasons dogs are great!
My dogs also showed recognition of relatives we only saw once every few years for short periods of time. |
