| Re: It happened again :( After seeing the clip, I have to say that our last rottie had a very similar reaction to fireworks. When she was younger we had brought her to fireworks on several occasions and she had no reaction. Then we found out that while we were away at work the neighbors kids would shoot a cap gun a her through the bedroom window. The next time that she heard even the slightest pop or whistle of a firework she would have total freak outs. She didn't bark at all but would whine intensely climb the walls, try to get under furniture, extreme panting, her eye would bug out, and she would have absolutely no reaction to anything we said or did. One time she was outside and she just took off down the street. All of these actions were completely out of character for her. It was kind of like her brain swelled up and she just lost her mind.
Maybe there is something that Nisha is reacting to that is almost if not completely unrecognizable to you. My husband even mentioned that she may be extremely sensitive to being near high voltage lines. After an electrical storm there may be a similar sensation. Even the hum of those big halogen lights could trigger another hyper reaction if she's already sensitized to it.
Just a thought. I really hope you can figure this out and find some peace for you both. |
