I'm confused because you say that the dog itched a lot when you were feeding chicken but the Canidae ALS has chicken as one of the main protein sources. Is the dog still itching? If not, then I would follow Gina's advice to the T.
If the dog is still itching and having a lot of gas. I would switch to another protein.
